Pi Network Token Dips Over 1% as Foundation Moves 500M PI Amid Market Pressure
Pi Network's Pi token declined more than 1% on Monday, testing crucial support levels as bearish momentum intensified. The drop coincides with increased social media chatter and a strategic transfer of 500 million PI tokens executed by the project's foundation.
Blockchain analytics show the PI Foundation moved assets in five separate 100-million-PI transactions to new wallets on Friday. This represents the first withdrawal from the #14 foundation wallet, which originally contained 10 billion tokens. The unannounced transfers triggered a 0.202% spike in social dominance metrics, exceeding the 30-day average of 0.195%.
Market analysts note the timing aligns with moderator suggestions about a potential second migration phase. The mobile-mining cryptocurrency now approaches record lows as trading volumes and selling pressure escalate.
